Alexis Campbell-  I joined the Kiddie Kollege family over 17 years ago as a parent. My daughter received excellent care here while I attended classes for the Mitchell Community College nursing school. Over time through volunteering and spending time getting to know the staff I took a part time position as a Floater/Substitute for KKELC. Within a few months I took a full time position as the teacher in the Two Year Old classroom and changed my major at college to Early Childhood Education. After a couple of years I switched and became the Toddler Room teacher until I finished my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Haywood Community College. At this time the owner of Kiddie Kollege and I decided we were ready to take on a new challenge and began our first More At Four (now known as NC Pre-K) classroom as I pursued my Bachelor’s Degree in Birth through Kindergarten Education from Western Carolina. I was the Lead Teacher in this classroom for 10 years and loved every minute of it! However, times do always change and in April of 2014 my husband and I were given the proposal of taking over ownership of Kiddie Kollege. After much thought, prayer, and overcoming multiple obstacles we took over ownership on August 1, 2014. I am now the Director and NCPK Site Administrator for Kiddie Kollege Early Learning Center. This new position holds many new challenges and rewards that I am so excited to venture through! Currently I am the Lead NC Pre-K teacher and serving as a mentor for the Administrative Team.
